Welcome to Project Grit, where we challenge low expectations and cultivate resilience through our distinctive ultra-distance rucking events and community.
The Immortal 32 Ruck, our flagship event, charts a 75-mile course through Texas history, stretching from the Gonzales Memorial Museum to the Alamo in San Antonio. Originally conceived by our founder, Terrence Ogden, as a personal test of mental and physical fortitude, it also serves as a tribute to the 32 valiant individuals who responded to Travis' call for reinforcements during the Battle of the Alamo in 1836. Over a span of 24+ hours, participants traverse the same path as the courageous 32, carrying weighted backpacks (rucks) that symbolize the weight of historical burdens.
As Project Grit gains momentum, we will be offering new ultra rucking events, community gatherings, and more.
Join us in embracing defining challenges, as we honor the past, ignite the present, and forge a path for future generations. Project Grit isn't just an organization; it's a movement. Be part of it.
