1000 MILES. ONE MAN. ONE MISSION.
This October, I’m rucking 1,000 miles across Texas. Solo and self-supported. No crew. No van. No shortcuts. Just me, a weighted pack, and 40 days on foot. I’ll start at sea level in Port Arthur, where the Gulf meets the bayou. From there, I’ll head west through small towns, open country, and harsh desert. Two thirds in, I’ll climb Guadalupe Peak, the highest point in Texas. Then continue west through El Paso, ending on top of Mount Cristo Rey, where I’ll lay it all down. Not for glory. For grace.
WHY I'M DOING THIS
Because I know what it’s like to be alive and feel completely disconnected.
From purpose. From people. From yourself.
I’ve been there addicted, burned out, stuck in chaos.
Numb, but pretending to be fine. Surviving, but not really living.
What nearly broke me was more than just the addiction it was the disconnection.
The hollow feeling of going through the motions without meaning.
Of avoiding pain, avoiding truth, avoiding myself.
And now I see it everywhere.
We’re hyper-connected through screens, but more isolated than ever.
We scroll instead of speak. We consume instead of create.
We chase comfort and wonder why we feel empty.
But I’ve learned the hard way that discomfort is where we come back to life.
This ruck is a response to all of that.
It’s 1,000 miles of stripping everything down.
Just me, the weight on my back, and the road ahead.
A test of the body, mind, spirit, and heart.
It’s not about attention.
It’s about intention. To remember what matters,
to push into adversity instead of running from it,
and to remind anyone watching

WHAT YOUR SUPPORT MAKES POSSIBLE
This isn’t just about walking 1,000 miles.
It’s about telling a story the world needs to hear—a story about grit, redemption, and the fight to reclaim what matters.
I’m not doing this for likes or medals.
I’m doing it because people are drowning in comfort, scrolling their lives away, wondering why they feel empty.
Because there are men and women right now on the edge, ready to give up, who need to see that the impossible can be done.
But they’ll never see it if we don’t capture it. That’s where you come in.
Your support doesn’t just buy gear or food.
It fuels a message that can change lives.
It turns 40 days of suffering into a story that reaches the broken, the burned out, the ones who think they’re done.
Every dollar helps take this journey from the road to the world:
This isn’t about medals.
It’s about meaning.
It’s about showing what’s possible when we stop running from discomfort, and walk straight into it.
Even $1 helps carry the weight.
Together, we’ll prove what we already know deep down
We Are Built For More.
