1000 mile RUCK ACROSS TEXAS

1000 MILES.

ONE MAN.

ONE MISSION.

This October, I’m rucking 1,000 miles across Texas. Solo and self-supported. No crew. No van. No shortcuts. Just me, a weighted pack, and 40 days on foot. I’ll start at sea level in Port Arthur, where the Gulf meets the bayou. From there, I’ll head west through small towns, open country, and harsh desert. Two thirds in, I’ll climb Guadalupe Peak, the highest point in Texas. Then continue west through El Paso, ending on top of Mount Cristo Rey, where I’ll lay it all down. Not for glory. For grace.

WHY I'M DOING THIS

Because I know what it’s like to be alive and feel completely disconnected-from purpose, from people, from myself. I’ve been there. Addicted. Burned out.Stuck in chaos. Numb. Surviving but not really living. What nearly broke me was more than just the addiction; it was the disconnection, the hollow feeling of going through the motions without meaning, of avoiding pain, avoiding truth, avoiding myself. I see it everywhere: we’re hyper-connected through screens but more isolated than ever, we scroll instead of speak, consume instead of create, chase comfort and wonder why we feel empty.I’ve learned the hard way that discomfort is where we come back to life. This ruck is a response to all of that-1,000 miles of stripping everything down, just me, the weight on my back, and the road ahead.A test of body, mind, spirit, and heart. It’s not about attention. It’s about intention. It's to remember what matters, to push into adversity instead of running from it, and to remind anyone watching that We Are Built For More.

WHAT YOUR SUPPORT MAKES POSSIBLE

This isn’t just about walking 1,000 miles.

It’s about showing what happens when you rise from addiction, reclaim your life, and lead the way for others. Not everyone needs to ruck across Texas, but everyone can choose challenge over comfort and remember what they’re capable of.

Your support makes this possible. Every dollar goes directly into the event itself-gear, food, and the making of a documentary that will carry this message beyond our circle and into the world. Forty days of suffering won’t just be endured, it will be captured and shared to remind others that they too are built for more.

Support the 1,000 Mile Ruck Across Texas. Every contribution helps fuel the miles, the story, and the message: We Are Built For More.
