31 day virtual challenge

starting oct. 1st 2026

Take the challenge daily and build something that lasts. One Damn Mile is a 31-day virtual ruck challenge you can do anywhere, no matter where you're starting from. We start on October 1st.

One mile, outside, every single day for 31 days straight. Any pack weight counts, so this isn't about how much you carry, it's about showing up when you don't feel like it. No banking miles ahead of time, no skipping for weather. Miss a day and you restart at Day 1.

Registration closes October 10th. Once it's gone, it's gone until we run this again, whenever that is. Finish all 31 consecutive days and earn the "One Damn Mile" patch. Not everyone who signs up will earn it. Make sure you're one of the ones who does.

black friday ruck

9 AM reimer's ranch

dripping springs, tex

Skip the mall. Ruck instead.

This Black Friday, Official Project Grit is hosting a 5-mile ruck at Reimers Ranch in Dripping Springs. Load up, show up, and start the holiday season the right way.

Outside, working for something, instead of standing in a checkout line.

Can't make it to Dripping Springs? Do it anyway. This event has a virtual option built in. Ruck your 5 miles wherever you are and tag Official Project Grit to be part of it.
This is for anyone who'd rather earn their Thanksgiving leftovers than sleep them off. First-timers and veteran ruckers both welcome. The standard is finishing, not finishing fast.

Built for More 100 Mile Challenge

40 day Challenge

beginsn jan. 1st 2027

2.5 miles. Every day. For 40 days straight.

This challenge is built off a 1,046-mile solo ruck across Texas, the one behind the Built For More documentary. That ruck didn't happen because one day felt good. It happened because the miles got done on the days that didn't.

Built For More puts that same principle in your hands. Every day for 40 days, you ruck 2.5 miles outside. Any pack weight counts. Weather doesn't get a vote. Miss a day, you restart at Day 1. Proof is a daily post tagging Official Project Grit, honor system underneath, public accountability on top.

By the end, you'll have covered 100 miles. On the ruck across Texas, the goal was 25 miles a day, every day. This challenge isn't that. But it's built on the same math: small, repeatable distance, done without fail, adds up to something big.

The event starts January 1st. Entry is $30, collected through Sweatpals, no refunds once you register.

Finish it and you earn the Built For More patch. It is never given, only earned.
